SFTC Long Distance Series: Rules & Awards

2013 Current Standings

The SFTC Long Distance Series was designed to support and promote long-distance races. LDS is not a competition but is a recognition of runners who complete several long races in the area.

To be eligible for the LDS each year, you must:

  • Be an SFTC member
  • Contact the LDS Manager and request to be included in the series
  • Earn at least 5 SFTC Volunteer Points, all of which must be earned through volunteer acts at SFTC-owned or hired races
  • Complete at least 5 races that are 10 miles or longer from the approved list of eligible events indicated below*

* 1 wildcard race (not part of the approved list) may be substituted providing that it is 10 miles or longer and proof of participation is provided to the LDS Manager. A wildcard race must be completed on or before date of the BAE Half Marathon race (the last race of the series).
